We have to do it ourselves. God never shows.
At the break of dawn on a december morning, a girl leaves her home and admires the sweet murals painted in the sky, and savors the cold air. She is to go on a journey, to conquer the mysteries of life and everything else out there that dreams and ambitions can bring to her desire.
A masked man approaches the girl, and wishes to lay down ground rules for the journey. "Once you begin this journey, you may never look back, nor return to this place. Do you understand?"
"Yes," said the girl.
"When you leave this place, you will have no home, no belongings, no anything. And your destination is complete uncertainty. Knowing this, do you wish to continue?"
"Of course," said the girl.
"There is but only one thing you may bring with you out there. You are allowed to bring one person along with you. Keep in mind that once this person is agreed upon, there is no turning back. There is no one else you may bring in to help, nor can there be anyone in your journey aside from you and this person. Who shall you bring?"
"There is no thinking required for that decision, sir. I wish for Kim to come with me," the girl spoke with conviction.
"And why is it that you select this person?"
"Because she is the most special person out there. She inspires me every day and makes my life more happy and full of life. Before I met her, I'd debate that perhaps I was not even alive. Without her, there is no journey, and there is no me. I would never leave her behind, because she wouldn't leave me behind either"
"But why not a strongman warrior of sorts?"
"She is a warrior in her own way, with a heart that can move mountains. No warrior can say that."
"But why not a scientist?"
"She's smarter than those bozos any day of the week."
"But why not a wizard or sorceress?"
"Because everything she does is magical to me, we don't need magic."
"I do not quite understand."
"Then you sir, are the fool."
"How?"
"There shouldn't need to be any reasons to justify my choice. I love her, and that is that. There is no companionship that can compare to that of two soulmates. Without that companionship, the journey could never succeed, no matter how strong either person is individually. I've chosen my partner, now let me be on my way."
